This artwork features a whimsical circular print of  "plum-colored storm-heavy clouds" that billow over a landscape of greens. The words of Mary Oliver inspire the phrasing and title of this artwork as written in her poem "Gravel" printed in Little Alleluias. 

This is one in a trio of paintings inspired by my return to my family's beloved cabin in Northern Wisconsin this summer and the storms that would roll in across the lake. It is a place of nostalgia, memory, grief, and warmth.
