An original oil pastel mini-painting, hand-painted by Kristin

“More Reasons to Believe” is a vibrant abstract painting inspired by a sketch I made in January while listening to the song "A Long December" by Counting Crows. The lyrics stirred Hope in me—each colorful layer laid down as a reason to believe again: in God, in goodness, in healing. Thick, textured strokes move across the canvas in shades of mint green, olive, and soft daffodil yellow. Peachy oranges give way to a burst of fiery red, melting into a vivid blend of fuchsia and plum. Cloud-like purples—from pale lavender to smoky gray-violet—add a depth to the brightness.
