“Vacre Deo [Vacation with God]" is a colorful, abstract landscape featuring a wilderness of thick, textured greens (olive green, grassy green, lime green, evergreen, and turquoise) behind a calm body of water blended with warm pinks and peaches. Light gray, textured clouds fill the sky.

The inspiration for the title of this painting comes from a Latin phrase that loosely translates to "vacation with God." A phrase from my childhood that was used to describe the place we'd spend every summer. A place of sanctuary.
