I believe in the healing power of writing and creativity.

I am a writer and artist whose work is rooted in the sacred tension between sorrow and hope. As a bereaved mother and veteran military spouse, I write to help others navigate grief and rediscover hope through the practices of writing and creativity.

My work has appeared in print collections by Proverbs 31 Ministries and DaySpring, as well as online at (in)courage. I’ve created two journals and founded the Pen & Mend Collective, a creative community devoted to the healing power of writing. You can learn more about my work at KristinVanderlip.com.

I live in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I write, create, and guide others in the restorative possibilities of creativity.
