I wanted space to find stillness, to let my dreams breathe, to listen and pay attention, to further step into my voice and cast vision for my words. And then George Floyd wasn’t allowed to breathe. And then his death brought national attention (once again) to the voices that continue to be oppressed in our society. In asking questions about my own voice and then processing these recent events, new questions emerged. This is where they led me…
I am here to make space for the hurting, the grief-stricken, the broken-hearted, the heart in turmoil, the weary in spirit. I want to invite us to lean into discomfort, practice lament, grow in curiosity, cultivate compassion, and learn how to move and flow through our pain and struggles so that we can walk in hope, healing, and life right where we are.
The aches in our souls and the breaks in our hearts matter, no matter what has caused them.
And I’m here to encourage us to lean in to the Lord—to depend on and expect Him through it all—to grieve and live well in Hope even when everything seems to unwell around us.
Let’s pay attention to the pain points and areas of tension we notice in our own lives and in the lives of others. Let’s take time to find stillness and draw near to the Lord—and discover how to compassionately listen.
